Odd size pipe

Here's a question for you bottom feeders.....I have a job coming in for a pontoon boat. I need to weld a end cap on a damage toon, but the toon is 23.5". I need a clamp to hold the end cap and reround the toon.

Any ideas and can I rent it?

I have this clamp from Sumner and it works great. Mathey Dearrman makes one that is similar but more expensive.

Not sure about renting

Re: Odd size pipe

These guys rent bevelers, 8-packs, and all kinds of other goodies. They may have something for you.

Re: Odd size pipe

Use a heavy ratchet strap (s) and angle irons around the circumference of your weld joint to mimic a dearman chain clamp.
Beat with hammer as needed ...the alunium should respond lol
